Gurbani Therapy for Disabled Children

Healing through Shabad. Connecting through Sound.

At Khalsa Panth Academy, we believe every soul deserves peace, joy, and connection — regardless of physical or learning ability. That’s why we offer Gurbani Therapy sessions specially designed for disabled and neurodiverse children.

Using the gentle power of Gurbani Kirtan, classical raags, and soothing musical instruments, our trained team helps children experience calmness, joy, and spiritual connection in a supportive environment.

What is Gurbani Therapy?

Gurbani Therapy blends the healing vibration of Sikh scripture with music-based activities. Children are introduced to:

  • Calming Shabad recitation and listening
  • Gentle use of instruments like Harmonium, Dilruba, and Tabla
  • Sensory-based rhythm and sound therapy
  • Peaceful breathing and listening exercises guided by soothing Kirtan

Who is it For?

This programme is open to children with:

  • Physical disabilities
  • Autism spectrum conditions
  • Learning difficulties
  • Sensory or emotional regulation needs
  • Parents/carers are welcome to attend sessions alongside their children.

A Blessed Visit from Jathedaar Giani Raghbir Singh Ji (Akaal Takht Sahib)

Khalsa Panth Academy Honoured by His Presence and Blessings

We are deeply humbled and honoured to share that Jathedaar Giani Raghbir Singh Ji, the esteemed Jathedaar of Sri Akaal Takht Sahib, recently visited Khalsa Panth Academy during his time in the UK.

His visit marked a historic and spiritual milestone for our Academy, as he offered his blessings, encouragement, and guidance to our team, students, and wider sangat.

🪶 A Message of Inspiration

During his visit, Jathedaar Sahib personally spent time witnessing our efforts to revive and spread Gurmat Sangeet, Gatka, Sikh education, and community seva through a structured and respectful learning environment.

He appreciated the vision and dedication of Bhai Karanjeet Singh Khalsa — Founder of Khalsa Panth Academy — for his tireless seva in promoting Raag-based Kirtan, affordable access to Sikh heritage, and empowering the next generation through education rooted in Sikhi and discipline.

Jathedaar Sahib praised the entire team for keeping the Sikh spirit alive in the diaspora and emphasised the importance of nurturing Panthic values, especially among children and youth.

📷 A Day to Remember

The visit included:

  • A brief tour of the academy
  • Interaction with promoters
  • Ardaas and blessings for future growth

His kind words and support have filled our hearts with strength and gratitude, and further motivate us to continue our mission of Seva, Simran, and Sikh Education for all.

🕊️ May Guru Sahib continue to bless this path of learning and unity.
