At Khalsa Panth Academy, our Turban Tying Class is not just about how to tie a turban—it’s about understanding why we wear it. The Dastaar is a gift from our Gurus, a sign of dignity, strength, and identity. This class is designed to help anyone—child, youth, or adult—learn to wear it with pride, purpose, and proper technique.

  • Meaning and importance of Dastaar in Sikh history and Rehat
  • Choosing the right style and length for your turban
  • How to fold and prepare a turban properly
  • Step-by-step tying practice (basic Dumalla, Gol Dastaar, Keski styles)
  • How to fix common issues (slipping, pressure, wrinkles)
  • Tips to wear it daily at school, work, or during sports
  • Care and maintenance tips – washing, folding, starching (if needed)
  • Building confidence to wear it proudly in public

Turban cloth is provided in class for practice. Bring your own if you prefer.
