Our Beginner classes are for anyone who wants to start fresh, whether you’re a child or adult. We guide you slowly, with love and care.
What You’ll Learn:
- How to hold and handle the instrument properly
- Basic notes (Sargam) and finger movements
- Introduction to rhythm (taal) and simple hand patterns
- Tuning and basic maintenance of the instrument
- Learning to play small exercises and short melodies
- Start playing simple Shabads with your instrument
These sessions also build discipline, hand strength, and listening skills for musical growth.
Instruments – Advanced Level

Once the foundation is strong, we move into advanced techniques and raag expression. These classes are for serious learners who want to master their instrument.
What You’ll Learn:
- Advanced Sargam patterns, taan, and raag melodies
- Accompaniment techniques (e.g., how to play with Kirtan)
- Improvisation and raag-based Shabad compositions
- Deep training in Laya (tempo) and Taal cycles
- Solo playing and ensemble practice with other instruments
- Raag-based compositions from Gurbani and classical music
- How to present confidently on stage or in Sangat
Students may be invited for academy samagams, youth programs, or special events after completing advanced training.

It depends on your interest. Harmonium and Tabla are the most popular to start. Dilruba or Sarangi are beautiful but take patience. We’ll help you choose based on your comfort and goals.
Yes! As you grow, we teach you how to accompany Shabads, follow vocals, and play in Raag-based compositions.
Not if you come with patience. Our teachers make learning enjoyable, steady, and heart-connected. Progress depends on practice and dedication, not speed.
We teach ages 6 and above, including adults. Beginners are grouped by age and skill level so everyone feels comfortable.
Each group has 1 class per week (30 minutes). We also guide you on what to practice at home so you keep improving between sessions.
Yes! Once you’re ready, you may be invited to play with other students, accompany Kirtan, or perform in academy samagams and special programs.
